Burn ban lifted at midnight Oct. 25

Due to the increase in fuel moisture levels and a return to more typical seasonal weather patterns, the Fire Marshal will lift the outdoor burn ban in Island County as of midnight, Oct. 25, 2022.

Land-clearing and yard debris fires are allowed but require a permit from Island County. Find more information on the Island County Environmental Health page.

Recreational and cooking fires, limited to 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet high, are allowed and do not require a permit.
