Due to the increase in fuel moisture levels and a return to more typical seasonal weather patterns, the Fire Marshal will lift the outdoor burn ban in Island County as of midnight, September 30, 2021.
Recreational and cooking fires, limited to 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet high, are allowed and do not require a permit.
Land-clearing and yard debris fires do require a permit from Island County. Find more information on the Island County Environmental Health page.
