Fire & Life Safety Education
Fire and life safety education is important for everyone in our community. That’s why we offer fire and life safety presentations for childcare centers, preschools, school classes of all ages, and community groups.

We cover topics like smoke and carbon monoxide alarm safety, home fire prevention, calling 911, staying safe around fire, and much more.
Presentations can take place at one of our fire stations or at your facility. We’ll always have a fire truck or ambulance available so everyone can learn about the equipment that keeps our firefighters and community safe.
Educational presentations are tailored to meet the needs of all ages and developed using nationally recognized fire safety education materials from the National Fire Protection Association.
Note: We need at least 10 days advance notice to schedule in fire & life safety education presentations. Presentation schedules are dependent on staffing and may be canceled or rescheduled if an emergency arises.
Fire Truck Ride-to-School requests
The Fire Truck Ride-to-School program is offered at the district’s discretion. Established community or nonprofit groups may request 1 ride per calendar year. Only 4 rides to school will be offered in each calendar year. Ride requests are first-come, first-served and scheduled in the order in which they are received. Rides are contingent on staffing and may be canceled or rescheduled if an emergency arises. Click here to request a fire truck ride to school.
Public & Community Events
Camano Fire hosts two community events: National Night Out on the first Tuesday in August and a Haunted Station/Halloween Party on Oct. 31.
In November and December, we host a community-wide food drive benefiting the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank. We also do a four-day Santa Run in December, where we drive Santa and his elves around selected areas of the island to spread holiday cheer and collect donations for the food drive.
