Three bids were received for the LPG backup generator installation project:

Legacy Power Systems: $55,235.91
Akerman Electric: $74,578.81

The Department will review each of the quotes received, and at the direction of the board, the chief will then make the final project award(s).


Invitation to bid: Installation of single-phase LPG backup generator

Camano Island Fire & Rescue is currently soliciting written bids for the turnkey installation of a new, single-phase, 80 kilowatt, LPG-fueled standby backup generator to be installed at the Country Club Fire Station (Station 2) on Camano Island.

The installation project includes the following tasks:

  • Remove and dispose of existing, old generator
  • Trenching, pour new concrete mounting base pad, reconnect existing LPG fuel connection

Timeline
This project is expected to be complete by Dec. 31, 2021 or sooner. However, industry demands and product availability may preclude timely completion.

Eligibility
This is a small works roster project. This repaint project will follow the guidelines found in the Limited Small Works Roster procedures seen in both RCW 52.14.100, and RCW 39.04.155.

The contractor selected to complete this project must demonstrate either current membership or recent enrollment within the MRSC Rosters list. Find additional information about the MRSC Rosters list and how to enroll online at https://mrscrosters.org/.

Submission of bids
Camano Island Fire and Rescue will accept project quotes either in person, electronically, or delivered via postal mail until the final written response deadline of 4 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021.

Submissions may be delivered in person or via postal mail to the Camano Fire administrative office, located at 811 N. Sunrise Blvd, Camano Island, WA 98282. Submissions may be emailed to Asst. Fire Chief Craig Helgeland at chelgeland@camanofire.com.

Repaint interior of Country Club Fire Station – $ 12,630
Repaint exterior of Terry’s Corner Fire Station – $ 16,139

Invitation to bid: Repainting of 3 fire department buildings

Camano Island Fire & Rescue is currently soliciting repainting quotes for three (3) separate fire department buildings on Camano Island.

The repainting project includes the following tasks:

  • repaint the entire existing exterior finish of Station 3 (Terry’s Corner fire station,) AND;
  • repaint one exposed exterior wall of the adjoining Fire Repair Garage Shop, AND;
  • repaint the interior living spaces at Station 2 (the two-story Country Club fire station).

NOTE: All exterior repainting work must be completed NO LATER than Sept 30, 2021, to meet seasonal weather window periods. Interior paint work could be performed at any time during 2021.
