Cadet Program

Camano Island Fire and Rescue partners with the Stanwood High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) program to offer a fire service training course. High School fire cadets train directly with firefighters and learn to use equipment and tools to prepare for future careers in the fire service

Department firefighters volunteer their time to assist with training, working closely with the students, many of whom go onto firefighting careers.
