The Island County Sheriff’s Office has put a Type 2 burn ban in place restricting all outdoor burning in Island County. The Type 2 burn ban begins at 4 p.m. Friday, July 18.
Call 911 to report burn ban violations to the Island County Sheriff’s Office.
During a Type 2 Burn Ban, you CANNOT:
- Use propane-fueled firepits
- Have campfires
- Burn natural debris or brush piles during a Type 1 burn ban.
You CAN use propane or charcoal barbecue grills and/or self-contained camp stoves.
