Our residents showed us the true meaning of community during our annual holiday food & gift card drive. Their overwhelming generosity made a huge impact on the Stanwood-Camano Food bank and Thrift Store and the local families it serves.
Camano residents donated a grand total of 2,945 pounds of food, $1,155 in gift cards, $2,360 in cash and checks – and more than 20 toys. What’s most impressive is that the vast majority of these donations came in during the four-day Santa Run: In spite of the rain and wind, our community delivered 2,095 pounds of food, $1,090 in cash and checks, and $555 in gift cards to Santa and his elves.
Donations in 2025 even surpassed the record totals our community set in 2024. We delivered 664 more pounds of food, $235 more in gift cards, and $1,451 more in cash and checks.
Each year, we’re incredibly thankful to be part of a community that steps up to take care of one another. Thank you, Camano, for making a difference.
