Join Camano Fire for National Night Out this August at Terry’s Corner.
Meet your firefighters, first responders and other community groups from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Terry’s Corner fire station, across from Camano Commons.
“National Night Out gives our community a chance to meet their firefighters and paramedics without the stress of a 911 call,” Chief Jason Allen said. “It’s a great way to bring the community together and highlight some of the important partnerships we have with our local community organizations.”
Firefighters will show attendees how to do hands-only CPR and give tours of fire engines and ambulances. The event will also include snacks, fun kids’ activities, and a chance to learn about local community organizations.
ICOM 911, the Camano Animal Shelter Association, and Island County Sheriff’s Office are some of the groups that will participate in National Night Out.
The Terry’s Corner fire station is located at 525 E. North Camano Road, just across from Camano Commons and the Island Transit Park & Ride. Parking is available at the station. Overflow event parking is available at Camano Commons, the Park & Ride and Freedom Park.
National Night Out is a partnership between Camano Fire, the Mabana Flames and the Camano Preparedness Group. The Camano Island Chamber of Commerce is helping sponsor the 2025 event.
National Night Out began in 1984 as an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Find more information about National Night Out at https://natw.org/
