National Night Out is coming back to Camano Island on Tuesday, Aug. 6, thanks to Camano Island Fire & Rescue, the Mabana Flames and the Camano Preparedness Group.
Meet your firefighters, first responders and other community groups from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Vista/Madrona and Mabana stations.
“National Night Out is always a great way to get to know our neighbors,” Chief Levon Yengoyan said. “We think it’s important to bring our community together here on the island, and what better way to do that than hosting National Night Out.”
Both the Vista/Madrona and Mabana fire stations will offer free hot dogs, fun kids’ activities, and a chance to see fire engines and ambulances. Several local organizations – like ICOM 911 & the Camano Center – will join in the event.
The Vista fire station is located at 273 N West Camano Drive. The Mabana fire station is located at 3651 South Camano Drive.
National Night Out began in 1984 as an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Find more information about National Night Out at https://natw.org/
