Camano Fire responds to house fire May 5

Fire gutted a south-end home early in the evening of May 5. No one was injured; the homeowners and two dogs escaped safely.

The 911 call came in at 5:20 p.m. All Camano Fire apparatus and personnel responded to the 4100 block of SE Camano Drive.

In total, four water tenders, two engines, two ambulances, a rescue unit and a brush truck from Camano Fire responded. Two engines, a water tender, and an aid unit from North County Fire, and a water tender from Conway/Skagit Fire District 3 provided mutual aid support.

The homeowner reported to 911 that an engine fire in one of the vehicles started the blaze.
