Camano Fire seeking contractor quotes for construction of temporary quarters at Mabana fire station

Camano Fire is seeking quotes for the construction of temporary sleeping quarters inside the Mabana fire station from interested contractors.

UPDATE: Camano Fire will issue an addendum on Thursday, July 17, to answer questions regarding the scope of work. Please submit any questions to emailed to Maintenance Manager Jay Jacks – jjacks@camanofire.com – by noon Wednesday, July 16.

Quotes must be received by 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, and must include a timeline for start of work and completion of work. Quotes must be delivered to the Camano Fire Administration office, 811 N. Sunrise Blvd. or emailed to Maintenance Manager Jay Jacks – jjacks@camanofire.com.

The general scope of work is as follows:

  • Construct two new sleeping quarters within existing wood-framed building
  • Minimal exterior work limited to new egress windows, insulation, and siding
  • Interior work to include wood-framed partition walls, drywall, paint, installation of vinyl flooring
  • Building systems modifications include rebalancing HVAC ducting and installing exhaust fans in bathrooms
  • No site grading or expansion required

Contractors must follow prevailing wage laws for all work completed.
