Camano Fire is seeking quotes for the construction of temporary sleeping quarters inside the Mabana fire station from interested contractors.
UPDATE: Camano Fire will issue an addendum on Thursday, July 17, to answer questions regarding the scope of work. Please submit any questions to emailed to Maintenance Manager Jay Jacks – jjacks@camanofire.com – by noon Wednesday, July 16.
Quotes must be received by 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, and must include a timeline for start of work and completion of work. Quotes must be delivered to the Camano Fire Administration office, 811 N. Sunrise Blvd. or emailed to Maintenance Manager Jay Jacks – jjacks@camanofire.com.
The general scope of work is as follows:
- Construct two new sleeping quarters within existing wood-framed building
- Minimal exterior work limited to new egress windows, insulation, and siding
- Interior work to include wood-framed partition walls, drywall, paint, installation of vinyl flooring
- Building systems modifications include rebalancing HVAC ducting and installing exhaust fans in bathrooms
- No site grading or expansion required
Contractors must follow prevailing wage laws for all work completed.
