The generosity of the Camano community during the 2024 food and gift card drive made a huge difference for the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank and the local families it serves.
Community members donated a staggering 2,751 pounds of food, $909 in cash, and $920 in gift cards during the two-month event. That beats last year’s food donation total (2,211 pounds) by more than 500 pounds, and last year’s gift card donation total ($500) by more than $400 dollars.
In addition, the community also donated three large bags of socks, hats and other warm clothing, and more than a dozen children’s toys.
