Camano Fire promotes three, welcomes new firefighter

Aug. 10, 2023

Last night Camano Fire promoted three members to officer positions and officially swore in its newest career firefighter.

Paramedic Brandi Mauck was promoted to Lieutenant after 18 years as a firefighter/paramedic with Camano Island Fire and Rescue. Lieutenant Mauck is the first full-time female company officer. Firefighter Neil Carlson was also promoted to Lieutenant. Neil has been a full-time firefighter since 2018 and previously served as a part-time and volunteer firefighter. Lieutenant Regan Olson was promoted to Captain. Regan has been with the organization as a full-time and volunteer firefighter for 26 years.  Finally, the department welcomed firefighter Chris Peloquin as a full-time firefighter. Chris began his career with Camano Fire as a part time and volunteer firefighter.

“It has been an honor to watch these firefighters grow personally and professionally,” Chief Yengoyan said. “I’m proud of their commitment to the community and the department and proud of the compassion they demonstrate every day.”

We look forward to the positive impact they will bring to Camano Fire in the years ahead.
