Camano Fire to host National Night Out on Aug. 1

National Night Out is coming back to Camano Island this August thanks to Camano Island Fire & Rescue, the Mabana Flames and the Camano Preparedness Group.

Community members are invited to join first responders at the Vista/Madrona and Mabana stations from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1.

“We had a huge turnout for National Night Out last year and we’re hoping to see even more of our friends and neighbors this year,” Chief Levon Yengoyan said. “We’re looking forward to opening up our fire stations and giving our community a chance to meet their first responders and get to know their neighbors.”

Both the Vista/Madrona and Mabana fire stations will offer free hot dogs, fun kids’ activities, and a chance to see fire engines and ambulances. Washington State Parks also will have a ranger at each station

The Vista fire station is located at 273 N West Camano Drive. The Mabana fire station is located at 3651 South Camano Drive.

National Night Out began in 1984 as an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Find more information about National Night Out at https://natw.org/
